Injection Molding

Production of large batches (above 500 pcs) of polymer products by injection molding requires a metal die mold (tooling), which should be designed and fabricated by highly skilled professionals.


We design and fabricate die molds for Babyplast injection molding machines and casting items with the volume of up to 14 cm3.

Depending on the part size the die mold can be either single-cavity or multi-cavity, production of parts with embedded elements is possible.

Die mold fabrication time is 3 to 5 months, with the price of 170,000 RUB or more, min. cost of casting per piece is 3.5 RUB.

For die mold price calculation we will need the following information:

3D models only in the following formats: STEP, XT, SAT;

Please indicate:

  1. permissible gate mark position,
  2. visual surfaces,
  3. allowable positions of ejector marks; please indicate on the drawings,
  4. polymer type to be used.

Presently, more than one third of all one-off polymer items in the world are made using injection molding machines. This casting technology is ideal for mass production of complex geometry items, where exact dimensions are crucial. This technology can be applied in various industries, including healthcare, instrument engineering, car industry, furniture, toys, household items, and many more.

Plastic parts are produced using modern horizontal injection molding machines with the locking pressure of 63 to 1200 tons and maximum cast product weight of up to 5 kg.
To produce small batches of items with the volume of up to 14 cu. cm we use Babyplast 610P injection molding machine.
Presently, Babyplast micro-IMMs and additional injection units are applicable in any industry where cost efficient production of small-size products is required.

Babyplast-series micro-IMMs support all commonly used injection molding technologies: multicomponent molding, gas- and water-assisted injection molding, casting items with marble surface, foam injection molding, in-mold labeling and decoration, casting with embedded or attached inserts, casting on powerdriven platform on horizontal and vertical machines, etc.

We use the following plastics and polymer composites:
Polyethylene (HDPP, LDPP), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyamide (PA), ABS, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polycarbonate (PC), polyacetal, polyoxymethylene (POM), polybutylene (PBT), polyphenylene sulphides (PPS), and several more. A wide range of dyes lets us select the color of future products with ultimate precision.
